Terms of Sale
These are the conditions that apply when you buy from DAOX Print. Placing an order means you accept them.
Who you are buying from
DAOX Print is the print division of DAOX, based in Los Angeles, California. We sell at daoxprint.com and ship across the United States.
Prices
All prices are in US dollars and cover printing with the finishing you selected. Shipping and California sales tax are added at checkout.
Prices change as our costs change. The price shown when you check out is the price for that order.
If a price is obviously wrong, a decimal in the wrong place or a product listed at a fraction of its cost, we may cancel and refund the order instead of producing it. We tell you before we do.
Payment
Orders are paid in full before production. Payment is processed by Stripe.
Your job enters the queue when payment clears and artwork is approved, not when the order is placed.
Your artwork and your rights
You are responsible for what you send us. By uploading a file you confirm you own it or have permission to print it, including logos, photographs, fonts and text.
We do not print anything unlawful, infringing or hateful, and we can decline a job we do not want our name on. If we decline, we refund in full.
We print what you approve. Approval closes the content question.
Dates
Production and shipping windows are estimates, not guarantees, unless we agree to a firm date in writing. Production time and shipping time are separate, and both are explained on our shipping page.
Quantity and color
Some production runs vary by up to 5 percent above or below the quantity ordered. If we ship under, we credit the difference.
Color varies slightly between runs, materials and presses. Normal variation is not a defect. The detail is in our returns policy.
Delivery
We are responsible for the goods until they reach you. Report transit damage within 5 business days of delivery and we handle the carrier claim and the reprint.
Pickup orders are held for 14 days.
Returns, reprints and cancellation
Custom printed work is not returnable. We reprint or refund when the fault is ours. An order can be cancelled before production starts. The full policy is on our returns page and forms part of these terms.
Limit of liability
Our responsibility for any order is limited to what you paid for that order. We do not cover lost profits, missed events, or a reprint bought elsewhere without our agreement.
If your job carries a deadline that cannot move, tell us before you order so we can be honest about whether we can meet it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute goes to the courts of Los Angeles County.
We would rather resolve it by email, and almost always do.
Changes
The terms in force on the day you order are the terms for that order. Later changes do not apply retroactively.
